This will be of concern to all drivers....but very much so to Ameraican car drivers.

I believe that the latest budget now means that the groups will go way beyond F and G next year. Many group F cars will fall into group M. This is being applied retrospectively to cars registered since 2001 - so people who have owned their car for 7 years will now be getting hammered, not just those who have bought a new car after the budget.
For example, if you have a 2003 C5, it's currently in group F. This is currently £210 per year.
Next year it will be grouped in band 'M' and will cost £440 for 12 months road tax.
